Out Of The Past; The Classic Film Noir Thriller Debuts On 4K UHD Blu-ray September 1, 2026 From Warner Archive
The Warner Archive Collection has announced that their next 4K release will be the classic 1947 film noir thriller ‘Out of the Past’ directed by Jacques Tourneur and starring Robert Mitchum and Jane Greer. The film will be available to own in a 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray Combo Pack on September 2, 2026 September 1, 2026 and will feature a new 4K UHD HDR master from a 4K Scan of the Original Nitrate Camera Negative and presented in Dolby Vision. Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has announced their 4K debut of ‘Practical Magic’ directed by Griffin Dunne and starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman featuring Dolby Vision + Atmos ahead of the anticipated sequel’s release this year. The film will be available to own on 4K Ultra HD disc and Digital beginning August 25, 2026. A Limited Edition 4K Steelbook edition will also be available. 
Universal Pictures and Focus Features have announced their home entertainment releases for the massive horror hit ‘Obsession’ written and directed by Curry Barker. The film is now available on Digital and will be available physically on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD starting July 14, 2026. 
Amazon MGM Studios and Alliance Entertainment have announced their physical releases for the smash hit ‘Project Hail Mary’ directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and starring Ryan Gosling. The film will be available to own on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on August 11, 2026 and will also be available in a 3-disc Limited Edition Steelbook Giftset on October 13. 
Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment and HBO have announced the fully remastered 4K debut of ‘The Sopranos’ is coming home in a Premium Limited Edition set. ‘The Sopranos: The Complete Series’ will be available to own on 4K Ultra HD on December 8, 2026. 
Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has officially announced the 4K debut of the out of this world alien invasion flick ‘Mars Attacks!’ directed by Tim Burton and starring Jack Nicholson in celebration of its 30th Anniversary. The film will be available to own on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc and Digital beginning August 11, 2026. 
20th Century Studios has announced their home entertainment releases for the smash-hit sequel ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’. The follow-up will arrive home early on Digital June 30, followed by the physical 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD releases and a 2-movie DVD collection on July 28, 2026. NEON and Decal Releasing have announced their home entertainment releases for ‘I Love Boosters’ written and directed by Boots Riley and starring Keke Palmer and Naomi Ackie. The film will arrive home on Digital June 23, followed by the 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray Combo and DVD releases on September 22, 2026. 
Disney and 20th Century Studios have revealed that they are working a newly restored version of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s ‘The Sound of Music’ which will be released in Theaters and on 4K UHD later this year in celebration of the film’s 60th Anniversary. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced and detailed their 4K UHD Steelbook release of the award-winning ‘Gandhi’ directed by Richard Attenborough and starring Ben Kingsley. The film will be available to own in a Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD Steelbook beginning April 29, 2025. 
Disney has officially announced and detailed their home entertainment releases for the animated sequel ‘Moana 2’. The film will be available to own on 4K Ultra HD Steelbook, Blu-ray and DVD beginning March 18, 2025 and is now available on Digital. Similar to ‘Inside Out 2’ it appears that no standard 4K release will be available so fans will have to splurge for the Steelbook if they want to physically own it in 4K which usually carries a significantly higher price tag.
