Synopsis:
Talk about odd couples…The zippy, happy-go-lucky Lippy the Lion (voiced by Daws Butler) is always looking for action. Hardy Har Har (voiced by Mel Blanc) is a hangdog, hapless hyena who never laughs. So, naturally the pair are inseparable. Constantly on the lookout for the next big score, the always-optimistic Lippy leads a skeptical Hardy into a multitude of misadventures despite Hardy’s “worry-wartin.” Lippy’s all sunny side up, while Hardy’s trademark refrain of “oh dear, oh my” provides the comic counterpoint to all their extraordinary exploits, which travel from the Wild West and deserted isles to country clubs and racetracks. No matter the time or place, you can count on these two to maneuver into desperate danger each and every time! This collection contains all 52 of Hanna-Barbera’s laugh-filled exploits featuring Lippy and Hardy, all newly remastered from the best available film elements for this Blu-ray collection. The Warner Archive Collection has unveiled their lineup of Blu-ray releases for February 2026. February sees a smaller lineup than usual due to what WAC refers to as a significant delay in the completion of restoration work and mastering due to the scheduling conflicts exacerbated by the recent Holiday break according to Warner Archive who intended nearly double the releases scheduled, but they ensure that they will be getting back to a strong offering of new releases each month beginning with the March announcement. February will see 4 new Blu-ray releases scheduled to be released on February 24, 2026 which include ‘Mogambo’, ‘Loopy De Loop: The Complete Collection’ and a couple others. Some very exciting news today for Looney Tunes fans as the Warner Archive Collection has revealed that they will release ‘Looney Tunes Collector’s Vault Volume 2’ on Blu-ray. The collector’s set will feature 114 theatrical shorts and will be available to own beginning December 2, 2025. It will be released on DVD via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has officially announced their upcoming ‘Peanuts: 75th Anniversary Ultimate TV Specials Collection’ which features 40 iconic remastered TV specials including everything from ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)’ to ‘Happiness Is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown (2011)’. The collection will be available to own on Blu-ray and DVD beginning October 7, 2025.
