Synopsis:

After saving the planet from an alien invasion last season, the Legends deserve a break. Too bad their time travel ship, the Waverider, gets blown up by a second Waverider…meaning the Legends are now trapped in 1925 Odessa, Texas! The only way to get home, and get payback on their mysterious new enemy, is to journey across the country to an early pioneer of time travel, who might just be their only hope of returning home. But with no Waverider, no way of knowing how they’re impacting the timeline, and a time-traveling foe hunting them, this will be the toughest mission yet for the Legends.

Please Note: Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Post. The opinions I share are my own.

Season 7 of ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ rejoins our heroes immediately following the sixth season’s events. Now trapped in 1925 Odessa, Texas following the other mysterious Waverider appearing and eradicating their ship, the group will have to find old school means of trekking across country to track down a man supposedly responsible for making time travel a reality, and quite likely their last hope of getting back home to their own time. But as they begin their journey and find themselves accidentally altering one massive historical event after another while the mysterious new Waverider keeps tabs on them, just getting to where they need to go is going to be one challenging adventure in itself.

[Blu-Ray Review] ‘DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow: The Seventh And Final Season’; Now Available On Blu-ray & DVD From DC – Warner Bros 1

The seventh and (as it would end up) final season of ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ delivers another fun, humorous and thrilling adventure for our group of legends as they struggle to both adapt to the 1920’s and accomplish their cross-country journey in this largely technology absent period of time. As someone who has also been a fan of this series for the entirety of its run, it will definitely be missed. Fans who appreciate this series will certainly want to still make a point of checking out its final run if you haven’t yet had the chance but it’s safe to say that it will be somewhat of a bittersweet experience. It shouldn’t be much of a surprise considering that the cancellation arrived after the season had concluded but Season 7 certainly isn’t an intended final season so be prepared for the show to end on a significant cliffhanger as opposed to being nicely wrapped up in any way. Nonetheless, it provides another massively enjoyable, consistently hilarious and always exciting batch of episodes for the Waverider crew that make up a solid new season, although not a satisfying “final” season unfortunately.

[Blu-Ray Review] ‘DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow: The Seventh And Final Season’; Now Available On Blu-ray & DVD From DC – Warner Bros 2

Overall, Season 7 of ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ serves up another entertaining, fast paced and consistently funny batch of episodes with our favorite time-traveling legends. The final season has almost everything fans love about the series and is still worth a watch if you haven’t yet had the pleasure, although with the cancellation arriving well after the season’s conclusion it unsurprisingly makes for somewhat of a disappointing final chapter to this beloved DC series. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s 3-disc Blu-ray release of ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: The Seventh and Final Season’ in particular brings home all thirteen episodes from the season with pretty fantastic high definition video and audio presentations on each. Add to that a nice handful of enjoyable extras and anyone who is a fan of the series and wants to physically own each season should be more than pleased with this solid collection. If you’re a fan and already considering a purchase, the Blu-ray release is recommended.

The video presentations look quite fantastic as a whole and deliver clean, sharp and nicely detailed video presentations from start to finish on each episode. They hold up great even during the many fast moving and darkly lit sequences occurring throughout and never find anything occurring onscreen becoming problematic or troubled along the way. Overall, these are great high definition video presentations that shouldn’t have any trouble pleasing fans of the series that have been collecting each season on Blu-ray.

AUDIO:

The Blu-ray release features a 5.1 channel DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack on all 13 Season Seven episodes. These multichannel soundtracks are a nice treat in their own right and offer crisp, detailed and notably aggressive audio presentations on every episode.
