No, it’s not April Fool’s Day, and no, it’s not a joke. As now reported by multiple reputable sources, Clayne Crawford is officially out as Riggs (following reports of on-set tension supposedly resulting from his behavior) on ‘Lethal Weapon’ and Seann William Scott of the American Pie franchise has been signed on as the new lead to be paired with Damon Wayans, and therefore Fox has now officially renewed the series for a third season.

Sources say that Scott WILL NOT be replacing Crawford as the character of Riggs, but will be stepping in as a new character. Those who decide to keep watching next season with the shakeup which is certain to deter many fans will just have to wait and see how they handle the transition.
