Synopsis:

Everyone’s favorite cops are back with “Super Troopers 3,” the third installment of the comedy classic. [Blu-Ray Review] Super Troopers 3; Available November 3, 2026 From Searchlight 2

‘Super Troopers 3’ reunites viewers with your favorite troopers and this time there’s some unexpected wedding bells. When Farva saves the life of Thorny’s sister after being run off the road, she immediately falls for her rescuer. Before long the sparks turn to wedding plans, much to the chagrin of Thorny who can’t fathom his sister marrying Farva of all people. Planning to find a way to get the wedding cancelled, Thorny begins to embark upon a series of plots to get Farva to be despised by his parents and sister, while the team is also forced to look into multiple scenarios involving vandalized syrup trucks, as well as a new drug called Canadian Crack making its way over the border.

Directed once again by Jay Chandrasekhar (Super Troopers, Beerfest) from a screenplay written by the Broken Lizard team (Super Troopers 2, Club Dread), Chandrasekhar does a solid job again at the helm for ‘Super Troopers 3’ guiding along the latest sequel with plenty of vulgar humor and over the top fun. The third film’s cast includes the Broken Lizard team of Jay Chandrasekhar (The Slammin’ Salmon), Kevin Heffernan (The Dukes of Hazard), Steve Lemme (TV’s Tacoma FD), Paul Soter (Club Dread) and Erik Stolhanske (Beerfest), in addition to Hannah Simone (TV’s New Girl), Nat Faxon (TV’s Our Flag Means Death), Chace Crawford (TV’s The Boys), Andrew Dismukes (Call Me Brother), Marisa Coughlan (Infamous), Jon Rudnitsky (TV’s Tacoma FD), Lisa Gilroy (TV’s The Paper), Sakina Jaffrey (TV’s Snowpiercer), Iqbal Theba (Green Book), Lynda Carter (TV’s Wonder Woman) and Brian Cox (TV’s Succession), with most easily falling into the goofy fun and helping to keep the laughs and silliness coming.

[Blu-Ray Review] Super Troopers 3; Available November 3, 2026 From Searchlight 3

‘Super Troopers 3’ is another hilarious, wildly over the top and thoroughly vulgar new installment that manages to find plenty of fresh ways for these bumbling cops to keep the audience laughing. These films are largely for a specific audience and as someone that’s always been a fan of Broken Lizard’s offerings over the last few decades they always keep me laughing pretty consistently and ‘Super Troopers 3’ is certainly no exception. If you weren’t a fan of these films to begin with this new installment definitely isn’t going to change your mind, but fans of Broken Lizard always looking for more fun are sure to have quite a bit of fun with the latest sequel.

Much like the second entry it never quite manages to reacquire that truly hilarious and unique vibe that the original served up, but still never seems to struggle to find plenty of offensive new bits and ways to rehash some old favorites while consistently eliciting laughs. The latest entry may not break any new ground or contribute anything substantial or thought-provoking to the mix (that was never the biggest charm of these films after all) and the entire storyline of Farva’s intended marriage to Thorny’s sister and Thorny’s utter disgust with it often results in the most notable laughs this time around (it just somehow never gets old to see these guys mess with each other). There are plenty of secondary storylines including Mac’s troubled relationship with a new electric car, syrup truck vandals and a dangerous new drug crossing over the border which all help contribute to the fun this time around, as do a handful of amusing new characters.

[Blu-Ray Review] Super Troopers 3; Available November 3, 2026 From Searchlight 4

Overall, ‘Super Troopers 3’ is another massively enjoyable, hilarious and offensive outing with your favorite moronic troopers as they must try and deal with something truly unthinkable; Farva marrying Thorny’s sister; a concept that in itself elicits plenty of laughs and humorous groans throughout and serves as the main backdrop for the new entry. The latest sequel never manages to reach the level of comedic gold that the original did but much like the second movie it still keeps the fun and vulgar humor coming at lightning speed and should have plenty within to love for any fellow fans of the franchise and the Broken Lizard comedy team in general. If you’re a fan of the previous two films or of Broken Lizard then ‘Super Troopers 3’ is definitely recommended and not to be missed, though if these films were never your thing then this latest chapter certainly isn’t going to do anything to change your opinion.
