[Blu-Ray Review] Rick And Morty: Season 8; Now Available From Warner Bros 2

Your favorite duo is back for another collection of wild misadventures in ‘Rick and Morty: Season 8’ which rejoins Morty and his genius grandfather Rick along with the rest of the family as they must take on a new mess of hiccups. This time around their highlights include fun with Beth and other Beth that reaches a whole new level when they join forces, in addition to Jerry becoming the Easter Bunny, along with Rick and Morty getting stuck inside the next chapter of a beloved film franchise when they confront the director and claim they can do better, and that’s only a small portion of the hilarious chaos and insanity in store.

[Blu-Ray Review] Rick And Morty: Season 8; Now Available From Warner Bros 3

Even after seven seasons of wild and over the top insanity and life-threatening challenges for the pair to tackle, ‘Rick and Morty: Season 8’ still has some clever craziness to offer in another collection of twisted, vulgar and just plain fun episodes that continue the out of this world adventures of the two. There is more of a mixed batch of episodes this season than is typically the case and while some of the season’s installments are a bit underwhelming they will surely still elicit plenty of chuckles, although there are also a handful of episodes within that are extremely clever and hilarious and will keep you from being tempted to check out during a few of the less stellar offerings.

One of the biggest standout episodes this season is surely the seventh episode “Ricker than Fiction” which sees Rick and Morty confront director James Gunn after being disappointed by the latest film in a beloved franchise and after claiming that they could do better utilize a moviemaking device which they become trapped within until the film’s creation is complete; the episode features Gunn and Zack Snyder as themselves and any DC fan should thoroughly appreciate this ridiculous and immensely fun and funny episode. In addition to Gunn and Snyder, the season also features many other guest stars both recurring and new and includes Stephen Root, Danny DeVito, Charlie Day and plenty more which each contribute to the fun and antics in their own right. Season 8 isn’t the greatest season of ‘Rick and Morty’ by any means but it still has more than enough laughs and over the top fun to keep fans engaged and make it worth watching.
