In some relatively surprising news, CBS revealed today that popular series ‘S.W.A.T.’ has been canceled and will not be returning for Season 7 on the network.

The cancellation of ‘S.W.A.T.’ is certainly one of the bigger surprises in the world of network television this year, with CBS announcing today that they will not be renewing the series and that the upcoming Season 6 finale which is set to air on May 19, 2023 will now also serve as the show’s series finale.

The choice not to renew the popular series according to a report by Deadline is believed to be largely due to the inability of Sony Pictures TV and CBS Studios (who co-produce the series) to reach an agreement moving forward.
