Please Note: Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Post. The opinions I share are my own.

Newcomers to ‘Superman & Lois’ are encouraged to consider starting at the beginning due to the show’s serialized nature and various continuing story elements within. You can find our review of the previous season’s Blu-ray release below!

Superman & Lois: The Complete First Season (Blu-ray Review)

[Blu-Ray Review] ‘Superman And Lois: The Complete Second Season’; Now Available From DC – Warner Bros 1

The sophomore season of ‘Superman and Lois’ rejoins Clark, Lois and the boys after the explosive events that concluded season one. With Morgan Edge now locked away after being stopped before he could carry out his deadly plan, Clark and Lois thought they would have time to settle down before being thrust into a new pile of trouble. Unfortunately after some new household members move in causing a rift in their family life, an old threat returns for Lois that she has a personal stake in and before long threatens to tear her family and career further apart. At the same time Superman is struggling with the new command at the D.O.D. and their inability to see eye to eye with the hero or heed his warnings, while the boys are also forced to deal with their own handfuls of trouble and youthful struggles on their end while a new deadly threat forms that could destroy all they know if allowed to succeed.

[Blu-Ray Review] ‘Superman And Lois: The Complete Second Season’; Now Available From DC – Warner Bros 2

Season two of ‘Superman and Lois’ delivers another tense, heartfelt and thoroughly enjoyable collection of episodes with the man of steel and his beloved family as they continue to try to make a new life in Smallville but end up still unable to avoid one dangerous threat and enemy after another. With things changing on multiple fronts such as a new head of the D.O.D. that refuses to work smoothly with Superman and family friend Lana getting thrown into the town’s political game, not to mention both Kent boys falling in love which is accompanied with plenty of its own complications alone, it’s certainly not a dull season and there’s a whole lot ready to explode around every turn, both literally and metaphorically with the mess of drama and uncertainty that nearly everyone finds themselves forced to tackle.

The new season also introduces some more familiar characters from the comics such as Bizarro who arrives and kicks off events that lead to quite possibly the deadliest threat that the family and their loved ones have been confronted with so far. It’s definitely another thrilling season with new threats, adventures and plenty of heartfelt emotion that fans of the series won’t want to miss out on. ‘Superman and Lois’ continues to prove itself to be a promising DC television series with plenty to offer.

[Blu-Ray Review] ‘Superman And Lois: The Complete Second Season’; Now Available From DC – Warner Bros 3

Overall, the second season of ‘Superman and Lois’ serves up another exciting and drama-packed collection of episodes with Clark, Lois and their sons as they each tackle their own personal troubles while a new deadly threat looms that will require them to work together. With plenty of action, heart and even a few laughs, fans of the series and the characters that populate it should find plenty to love about the show’s sophomore run. The fans specifically interested in the technical merits of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s 3-disc Blu-ray release of ‘Superman and Lois: The Complete Second Season’ should be largely pleased with the release which brings home all fifteen episodes from season two sporting great high definition video and audio presentations on every episode that don’t disappoint, along with a couple of Behind the Scenes Featurettes as extras. Perhaps the one element that may upset some fans is the standard slipcase that the new season comes in as opposed to the usual hard, side-slip that the season releases usually utilize which may cause a clash in appearance, but the quality of the actual episodes within should not disappoint.
