Welcome back to another new entry of our weekly ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list posts where we keep you updated on all of the most popular movies and television shows watched at home each week, always compiled and released by the Digital Entertainment Group.
This week’s new ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list for November 11, 2021 (compiled of data for the week ended 11.6.21) once again finds ‘Free Guy‘ sitting comfortably in the top spot, followed by ‘Yellowstone: Season 4’ which impressively debuts in second somehow even with the season premiere not airing until the day after the end of the week’s collected data, apparently simply from pre-orders (I’m not entirely sure if this is a new way of reporting as the list never included pre-orders before to my knowledge). M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Old‘ holds steady in third for another week, followed by ‘The Suicide Squad‘ which slips a couple spots to fourth, and ‘Don’t Breathe 2‘ falls one spot to fifth to round out the top five. November Brings Grinch,
Yellowstone S4 to Chart
As Halloween candy gave way to mistletoe and holly at retail, two versions of a Christmas classic delivered on the Watched at Home Chart. The Grinch (2018) hit the chart at No. 14, while its predecessor, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) snuck in at No. 17. They joined Halloween favorites Hocus Pocus and Beetlejuice, which continued to linger in the Top 20. Meanwhile, the fourth season of western family saga Yellowstone debuted at No. 2, behind Free Guy. Yellowstone has been a staple on the chart since the Watched at Home Top 20 was launched in early 2020, and Season 1 and Season 3 of the series also charted this week, at Nos. 11 and 19, respectively.
DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
