DEG Watched At Home Top 20 List For 12/03/20: Unhinged, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 1Welcome back to another new edition of our ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20 List’ posts, and the second one this week as a result of last week’s list being pushed back due to the Holiday.

The new list for December 3, 2020 (compiled of data through 11.28.20) sees ‘The New Mutants’ and ‘Unhinged’ still staying on top, although the two titles have switched spots with ‘The New Mutants’ falling to second and ‘Unhinged’ taking first. Meanwhile last week’s third place holder ‘After We Collided’ drops all the way to nineteenth as National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation claims third place, followed by ‘Elf’ in fourth and the ‘Harry Potter: 8 film Collection’ rounding out the top five. This week’s list also features some notable newcomers including the Mel Gibson and Walton Goggins led ‘Fatman’ debuting in twentieth, plus the John Hughes Thanksgiving themed classic ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’ starring John Candy and Steve Martin which arrives on the list in eleventh. HOLIDAY CHEER WARMS UP THE
DEG’S “WATCHED AT HOME TOP 20” LIST

With the holiday season in full swing, consumers sought seasonal cheer, propelling holiday favorites on the DEG’s latest “Watched at Home Top 20” list including National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (No. 3), Elf (No. 4) and The Polar Express (No. 12). Action films Unhinged (No. 1) and The New Mutants (No. 2) traded places at the top of the chart this week. New entrants include Planes, Trains & Automobiles (No. 11) and Fatman (No. 20), continuing the holiday theme, plus Love and Monsters (No. 15) and Always and Forever (No. 16).

DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
