DEG Watched At Home Top 20 List For 11/30/20: The New Mutants, Unhinged 1

Welcome back to the latest edition of our ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20 List’ posts where we keep you updated with all of the most popular movies and TV shows watched at home each week, always compiled and released by the Digital Entertainment Group.

While the new list may be a bit later than usual due to last Thursday being Thanksgiving (we hope you all had a great Holiday!), that means that there will be two new lists this week, therefore be sure to check back on Thursday for another new ‘DEG Top 20 List’ post! This week’s first new DEG Watched at Home Top 20 List released on November 30, 2020 (which is compiled of data for the week ending 11.21.20) sees the Fox/Marvel outing ‘The New Mutants’ claiming the top spot following its home entertainment debut, while last week’s top spot holder the ‘Harry Potter 8-film Collection’ falls to fourth this week. Meanwhile, the new Russell Crowe starring thriller ‘Unhinged’ debuts in second place, followed by ‘After We Collided’ in third, and the Will Ferrell holiday comedy ‘Elf’ wraps up the Top 5. Below you can read the full news release for the new ‘DEG Top 20 List’ and then sound off in the comments to let us know what you’ve been watching recently!

THE NEW MUTANTS DEBUTS AT NO. 1 ON
DEG’S “WATCHED AT HOME TOP 20” LIST

Teen titles take the spotlight on DEG’s latest “Watched at Home Top 20” list as The New Mutants super-powered squad debuts at No. 1, leading other films including After We Collided at No. 3 and the 2011 horror film Megan is Missing at No. 6, which recently went viral on TikTok. Holiday titles continue to have a strong presence on the chart, with favorites Elf (No. 11), National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (No. 10), Home Alone (No. 12) and The Polar Express (No. 17) drawing consumers in the runup to Thanksgiving. Additionally, the Russell Crowe-led Unhinged debuts at No. 2 after releasing on Blu-ray on November 17, and The Dark and the Wicked joins at No. 13.

DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
