It’s a great day to be a fan of the comedy troupe ‘The Tenderloins’ and stars of TruTV’s popular series ‘Impractical Jokers’ as numerous announcements have been made today in an effort to expand their brand. The news includes the renewal of TBS’s game show ‘The Misery Index’ for a third season, along with TruTV ordering ten additional episodes of the spin-off series ‘Impractical Jokers: Dinner Party’. The announcement also comes with news that ‘Impractical Jokers: The Movie’ will be hitting HBO Max in September and the previously delayed ninth season of ‘Impractical Jokers’ has additionally been revealed to be resuming production this month.
Deadline reports that the renewal for Season 3 of ‘The Misery Index’ comes with confirmation that the third season is expected to begin production this fall, with Jameela Jamil returning as host along with all four Jokers returning as panelists. The second season of ‘The Misery Index’ which recently aired its mid-season finale will return with its second half this October.
The remotely shot spinoff series ‘Impractical Jokers: Dinner Party’ which concluded its initial eight-episode run recently has been granted an additional ten-episode order by TruTV, while it was also revealed that the delayed ninth season of ‘Impractical Jokers’ will resume production late this month.
In addition to all of that great news, HBO Max subscribers who haven’t yet had a chance to check out TruTV’s first feature length movie ‘Impractical Jokers: The Movie’ won’t have to wait much longer as the film will be available on the subscription service beginning September 1.
