Following some innapropriate and racist tweets by Roseanne Barr that has already made news headlines, and the subsequent announcement from Wanda Sykes that she would not be returning to the show, ABC has now stepped up and officially canceled ‘Roseanne’ which includes scrapping plans for the previously renewed eleventh season.

This news certainly comes as no surprise considering the outrage already attracted by the star’s comments. The reported statement from ABC regarding the show’s fate via entertainment chief Channing Dungey is as follows:

“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show.”
