Some fantastic news today for fellow fans of the ‘Impractical Jokers’ team as TruTV has officially renewed the series for an eighth season. As if that wasn’t great news in itself, it has additionally been announced that a feature film for the brand is now in the works with ‘Funny Or Die’ set to produce and Chris Henchy to direct. The film will reportedly tell the story of a humiliating high school mishap in 1992 which set them on the course for the show.

The renewal for the show’s eighth season once again comes with a 26 episode order. The show is currently in the middle of airing the first half of season seven Thursday nights on TruTV.
