In Return of the Living Dead: Part II, the chemical Trioxin turned people into flesh-eating zombies. Now, the government is trying to control these unstoppable cannibalistic killers in Return of the Living Dead 3. When a young man uses the chemical to bring his girlfriend back to life after a motorcycle accident, she is driven to eat the only thing that will nourish her…human brains! She tries to stop her own feeding frenzy but a chain reaction has already begun, as hordes of undead are unleashed from their graves!
The fourth entry in the continually impressive Vestron Video Collector’s Series Blu-ray lineup from Lionsgate marks the long awaited debut of the fan favorite sequel ‘Return of the Living Dead 3’ on Blu-ray. The third (yet largely unrelated) entry in the franchise is also the only to forgo the comedic nature that is so prominent in the other films, while also upping the ante in the carnage department as it tells the story of one man’s desperation after losing the woman he loves, and the lengths to which he is willing to go in order to make certain that she remains with him, even if the only way to accomplish that may be to make her a brain eating member of the living dead. Directed by Brian Yuzna (Bride of Re-Animator), written by John Penney (Hellgate) and starring J. Trevor Edmond (Lord of Illusions), Melinda Clarke (TV’s Nikita), Kent McCord (TV’s Farscape), and James T. Callahan (TV’s Charles in Charge), ‘Return of the Living Dead 3’ arrives home uncut, uncensored, and on Blu-ray in glorious high definition at last courtesy of the Vestron Video Collector’s Series.
