The first clip from ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ has made it’s way online today.  it gives us a look at a scene in the film in which Bilbo first receives Sting from Gandalf.  Continue on after the jump for the clip.

I have to say, after the phenomenal job Peter Jackson did directing the ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy I am quite excited to see how he does with ‘The Hobbit.’  I will admit I’m not quite sold yet as to why it was necessary to make this a trilogy, even with it incorporating the information from the appendices and such.  Don’t misunderstand me though, i would be quite pleased to be proved wrong in this scenario and I will have faith in Peter Jackson.  Directly below you can check out the first clip for ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ and make sure to pre-order you tickets for the film soon as they are already going fast in many areas!
