Some fantastic news today for fellow Batman/DC fans following their previous social media tease on Valentine’s Day as Warner Archive Collection has now officially announced that it will release the animated straight to video film (and the follow-up feature to Batman: Mask of the Phantasm’) ‘Batman & Mr. Freeze: Subzero’ on Blu-ray for the first time ever. The film which also celebrates its 20th anniversary this year will be available to own on Blu-ray beginning March 27, 2018 and will have a Special WonderCon WAC panel on March 23 to highlight the release. Lionsgate Home Entertainment has officially announced and detailed their home entertainment releases of the Oscar Nominated film ‘Lady Bird’ starring Saoirse Ronan which will arrive home on Blu-ray combo pack and DVD March 6, 2018. Disney & Lucasfilm have officially announced and detailed their home entertainment releases of the box-office destroyer ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’. The latest installment in the Star Wars saga will be available to own early on Digital beginning March 13 and followed by the 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD Releases on March 27, 2018. Following Disney’s recent release patterns it seems safe to assume that the US won’t see a Blu-ray 3D release as Disney seems to have dropped the format entirely when beginning their foray into the 4K Ultra HD format. UHD fans on the other hand will be thrilled to discover that this will mark the first 4K Ultra HD release from the studio sporting both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
