CBS announced today that they have officially renewed 11 more series from their lineup for the upcoming 2018-19 season. CBS has officially renewed ‘Mom’ for a sixth season. While the renewal comes as little surprise considering the show’s continually impressive ratings, the renewal also marks the third and final renewal for Chuck Lorre’s sitcoms airing on CBS with ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and spinoff series ‘Young Sheldon’ both already renewed for the 2018-19 season.
We have some (slightly belated) news from CBS who announced over the weekend that ‘The Big Bang Theory’ spin-off series ‘Young Sheldon’ has now been officially renewed for a second season.
Following a new series low in ratings this previous Monday for the already struggling sitcom ‘Me, Myself and I’, CBS has decided to pull the show from their lineup and has scheduled the season two premiere of ‘Man With A Plan’ to take its place, although some mild shifting of the Monday schedule will occur.
CBS has finally announced the fate of ‘Zoo’, officially canceling the series today after three seasons.
CBS All Access has officially renewed the latest ‘Star Trek’ series ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ for a second season.
CBS made the fourth network to reveal their 2017 Fall Schedule yesterday (my apologies for the slight delay on getting it on the site) which includes much of the same, with new spinoff series ‘Young Sheldon’ joining ‘The Big Bang Theory’ on Thursdays following a special one-time Monday preview; ‘Man with a Plan’ and ‘Elementary’ get held until mid-season and more. CBS has now made final decisions on three more shows, officially cancelling both the reboot of ‘The Odd Couple’ and ‘Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders’, while also renewing ‘Code Black’.

Some sad news this evening for fellow fans of the CBS comedy ‘2 Broke Girls’. Following some apparent negotiations between CBS and series owner Warner Bros, CBS has now officially canceled the veteran comedy series.
After already renewing ‘NCIS’ as well as announcing a two-season renewal for ‘The Big Bang Theory’ recently, CBS has now renewed another 16 shows from its lineup including most of its new sitcom additions. The list of renewals includes ‘Man With A Plan’, ‘Kevin Can Wait’, ‘Mom’, ‘Superior Donuts’, ‘Scorpion’, Hawaii Five-O’, ‘Madam Secretary’ and many more, although such veteran shows as ‘2 Broke Girls’ and ‘Criminal Minds’, plus newcomer ‘The Great Outdoors’ and more have not yet been announced. CBS has now joined in on the announcements, and after having recently renewed freshman comedy ‘Life In Pieces’, they have now also renewed ‘The Odd Couple’, Code Black’ and more for the upcoming fall season.
One of the latest entries in an ongoing universe of DC Comics TV series, ‘Supergirl’ has finally been granted an official renewal for season two, although the series will also be making a move to The CW.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has sent over a press release officially announcing and detailing the Blu-ray and DVD releases of ‘Person of Interest: The Complete Fifth and Final Season’ which finally saw its season premiere last night and is scheduled to arrive home on July 19, 2016, less than a month after the season finishes airing.
