Representing the studio’s first four decades, every Warner cartoon super-star is showcased among these two discs: the musical 1930s, the wartime 40s, Chuck Jones, Friz Freleng and Robert McKimson Classics from the 1950s — even a smattering of Road Runner gems from the early 1960s. Additional fun from directors Bob Clampett, Frank Tashlin, Art Davis and Norm McCabe — and favorites featuring Foghorn Leghorn, Pepe LePew, Speedy Gonzalez, The Goofy Gophers and Charlie Dog.

Looney Tunes and physical media fans everywhere, it’s time to get excited once more for Warner Archive Collector’s new ‘Looney Tunes Collector’s Vault Volume 2’ Blu-ray release featuring another helping of more than 50 delightful classic cartoons featuring all of your favorite Looney stars from Bugs, Daffy, Porky, Sylvester and Tweety to Foghorn Leghorn, Charlie Dog, Pepe LePew, Speedy Gonzalez and the Goofy Gofers, not to mention other favorites such as Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote, Sam and Ralph and plenty more; compiling two new discs worth of remastered cartoons to keep you laughing and smiling for hours.

‘Looney Tunes Collector’s Vault Volume 2’ is another spectacular collection that combines beloved fan favorites and iconic characters with plenty of long unseen cartoons and lesser known Looney stars along with some fun side trips focusing on popular stories and more, ensuring that there will be plenty for every fan included within and of course some beloved animated shorts not seen for decades for the diehard collectors. With Bugs dealing with the headache of an irritable genie and Daffy going undercover as a private dick to find a thief, plus the usual zany antics of Wile E. Coyote as he repeatedly tries and fails to capture the Road Runner, and even one featuring Spike along with the hyper, fast-talking Chester the Terrier who I remember fondly from my childhood. It’s another perfect recipe for fun and laughs that should have no trouble at all keeping you glued to the screen for hours and having a blast the entire time.

‘Looney Tunes Collector’s Vault Volume 2’ compiles 51 more animated shorts for all of the fiending collectors out there (including myself of course) desperate for more cartoon gems. The 2-disc set includes 26 cartoons never before on DVD or Blu-ray in remastered form on a WB cartoon collection on Disc 1, plus 25 cartoons first time remastered in HD on a WB cartoon collection on Disc 2. Overall, ‘Looney Tunes Collector’s Vault Volume 2’ serves up another unique and massively enjoyable collection of animated shorts varying from cartoons not seen in decades to newly remastered editions of some fan favorites and as always delivers the goods in a rewarding fashion like nobody but Warner Archive seems to. The 2-disc Blu-ray release from Warner Archive Collection features 51 more animated shorts for fans to get excited about and with a wide array of beloved characters including hugely popular stars to lesser known and often unappreciated characters, with every cartoon within sporting outstanding and truly gorgeous HD presentations and dual mono DTS-HD MA soundtracks that are certain to have fans thrilled with the quality on top of the selections. If you’re a fan that tries to collect each of these great Looney Tunes sets then this new Collector’s Vault Volume 2 Blu-ray from Warner Archive should be no exception and is definitely highly recommended!

The Blu-ray release of ‘Looney Tunes Collector’s Vault Volume 2’ features a full 1080p High Definition presentation on all 51 animated shorts newly remastered and presented in their original 1.37:1 Aspect Ratio. The video presentations look wonderful altogether and offer sharp, clean and richly detailed presentations that are gorgeously colored and absent of any notable issues to be found throughout. Those of you familiar with Warner Archive’s similar releases will be aware that the quality does mildly fluctuate between shorts due to the sources and who remastered, yet none of the cartoons look bad by any means, instead delivering varying degrees of great quality-wise and every cartoon within looks pretty spectacular in its own right. Overall, these are terrific high definition presentations that look pretty marvelous and should have fans thrilled.

AUDIO:

The Blu-ray release includes a 2.0 dual mono DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack on all 51 included shorts. These dual mono DTS-HD MA soundtracks sound great as a whole and they all do a rewarding job of balancing the various audio elements within and making certain that all of the music, dialogue and effects throughout share the channel without issue and keep every element within sounding clean and fully audible. Some of the animated shorts may sound slightly crisper than others, yet none offer questionable or troublesome soundtracks in any way, with every cartoon sounding pretty stellar. Overall, these are great 2.0 dual mono DTS-HD MA soundtracks that hold up nicely throughout and shouldn’t cause any disappointment.

The Blu-ray release of ‘Looney Tunes Collector’s Vault Volume 2’ features Audio Commentary tracks by animation experts on 5 of the animated shorts included on disc two, they include ‘Bowery Bugs Commentary by Michael Barrier’, ‘The Heckling Hare Commentary by Greg Ford’, ‘Mexican Boarders Commentary by Greg Ford’, ‘Stop! Look! And Hasten! Commentary by Greg Ford’ and ‘You Were Never Duckier Commentary with Eric Goldberg’.
