‘Chucky’ Officially Cancelled By SyFy & USA

chucky cancelledSome sad news today for fans of the ‘Chucky’ TV series as the show has been officially cancelled by SyFy and USA and will not be returning for Season 4.

The news of the cancellation arrives nearly five months after the Season 3 finale aired. Since season three concluded without word of a renewal fans have been extremely vocal about their support and #RenewChucky has been trending on a consistent basis throughout social media. Unfortunately for now the series won’t be continuing, at least on SyFy and USA.

While fans will undoubtedly be disappointed with the cancellation, one bright note worth mentioning is that the series continued the franchise’s ongoing storyline that began in the original 1988 ‘Child’s Play’ film which was written by series (and franchise) creator Don Mancini who has been involved with and at least written all seven films (while directing multiple). He additionally created the series and has been actively involved with all three seasons so there is always hope that the show could continue elsewhere, or even in another film installment. We’ll of course be sure to keep you updated on any news regarding the franchise which we’re huge fans of here!

‘Chucky’ was created for television by franchise creator and writer Don Mancini. The cast of the series includes Zackary Arthur as Jake Wheeler, Bjorgvin Arnarson as Devon Evans, Alyvia Alyn Lind as Lexy Cross, Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany Valentine, and Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky.

Jennifer Tilly also confirmed the cancellation on X; you can view her thoughtful post below.
