Following the reveal today at San Diego Comic-Con, Showtime has released online the first look Teaser of ‘Dexter: Original Sin’ which will debut this December, along with confirming that Michael C. Hall will not only return as the voice of Dexter in ‘Original Sin’ but additionally in a new series titled ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ which is expected next year.

July 26, 2024 – San Diego – As part of its expanding DEXTER Universe, SHOWTIME announced the return of Michael C. Hall in the new series DEXTER: RESURRECTION and the previously announced origin story DEXTER: ORIGINAL SIN. The announcement was made by a surprise appearance from Executive Producer and star Michael C Hall (DEXTER, SIX FEET UNDER) alongside Executive Producer and Showrunner Clyde Phillips (DEXTER, NURSE JACKIE) at San Diego Comic Con during the DEXTER: ORIGINAL SIN panel, which is currently in production.

Golden Globe^® and SAG Winner Michael C. Hall will return as Dexter Morgan in both series – he will star in DEXTER: RESURRECTION set in the present day and narrate the inner voice of a young Dexter (played by Patrick Gibson) in DEXTER: ORIGINAL SIN which takes place in the 90s.

Over time, it has built a rabid and loyal fan base in the tens of millions.   In 2021, DEXTER: NEW BLOOD premiered, a limited series set ten years after the conclusion of the original, and instantly became SHOWTIME’s most watched and most streamed original ever.
