ABC’s reboot/reimagining of ‘The Wonder Years’ has reached the end of its run as the network has now officially cancelled the series after two seasons.
The cancellation of ‘The Wonder Years’ has now been confirmed following the second season’s unexpected move to summer this previous season. The shortened 10-episode second season debuted on June 14 and concluded on August 16, 2023 and the season 2 finale will now additionally serve as the series finale.
‘The Wonder Years’ was created for television by Saladin K. Patterson and inspired by the 1980’s series of the same name. The series stars Elisha “EJ” Williams, Dulé Hill, Saycon Sengbloh, Laura Kariuki, Julian Lerner, Amari O’Neil, Milan Ray and Don Cheadle as the voice of Adult Dean.
Inspired by the beloved award-winning series of the same name, “The Wonder Years” is an original coming-of-age comedy that tells the story of the Williams family during the late 1960s, spotlighting the ups and downs of growing up in a Black middle-class family in Montgomery, Alabama, and the friendship, laughter and lessons along the way.
