In some slightly belated news (our apologies for the delay on this one) Hulu has officially announced that they have cancelled ‘How I Met Your Father’ after 2 seasons and that the series will not return for Season 3 on the streamer.

The news on the cancellation of the series arrives just under two months after the release of the super-sized Season 2 finale which debuted on Hulu in July.

Executive producer Craig Thomas thanked the team behind the series and noted that it’s simply the nature of the business in a social media post following the cancellation, stating “Thanks to the wonderful cast and crew who worked so hard on #HIMYF, and to all who checked it out, sometimes this is how it goes in this crazy business…” (you can view the embedded post below).
