Some disappointing news today for fans of the ‘Gossip Girl’ reboot as HBO Max has now cancelled the series after two seasons.
The cancellation for the ‘Gossip Girl’ reboot arrives just ahead of the second season’s finale which is set to debut on HBO Max January 26 and the season two finale will now additionally serve as the series finale.

The ‘Gossip Girl’ reboot was developed by showrunner Joshua Safran who served as a writer and executive producer on the original series; the new series was based on the bestselling novels by Cecily von Ziegesar and the original series which was developed by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. The cast of the new series included Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak, Savannah Lee Smith and Grace Duah.
