‘Magnum P.I.’ Officially Saved By NBC With 20 Episode, 2 Season Pickup

magnum piSome fantastic news today for fans of the ‘Magnum P.I.’ reboot series starring Jay Hernandez as the series which was cancelled by CBS earlier this year has now been officially saved by NBC with a 20-episode, 2 Season pickup.

Following the cancellation of ‘Magnum P.I.’ by CBS in May, fans were not pleased to say the least. The cancellation saw fans taking to social media to express their disappointment.

Rumors began to leak not long after that NBC was in talks to possibly save the series and that became official late last night when Deadline first reported that they had saved the series. NBC has granted the series a 20-episode, 2 Season pickup that will bring the fan-favorite series back for Season 5 and 6 on its new home, with an option for more.

The deal was apparently finalized late last night as a result of the cast options for the series being set to expire on June 30. It’s reported that everything is now being finalized and the series has been officially saved by NBC!
