Some wonderful news today for fans of the dark comedy series ‘Barry’ as HBO has now officially renewed the series for Season 4.
The renewal for Season 4 of ‘Barry’ arrives in the middle of the show’s third season which debuted on April 24 and is set to air its season finale June 12 on HBO and HBO Max.
Production on the fourth season of ‘Barry’ is set to begin in Los Angeles in June with Bill Hader directing all eight episodes of the season.
Amy Gravitt, executive vice president, HBO Programming commented on the renewal saying “Bill, Alec and the entire cast and crew delivered an exquisite third season of BARRY, it’s a masterful blend of laughs and suspense. I’m so happy to announce that we are picking up the fourth season.”
Season 3 Synopsis: Desperate to leave his violent past behind in favor of his newfound passion, Barry (Bill Hader) is attempting to untangle himself from the world of contract killing and fully immerse himself in acting. But getting out is messy. While Barry has eliminated many of the external factors that pushed him towards violence, he soon discovers they weren’t the only forces at play. What is it about his own psyche that led him to become a killer in the first place? Season three finds Barry and the other characters trying to make the right choice.
The currently airing third season of ‘Barry’ stars Hader reprising the title role along with regular cast members Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, Anthony Carrigan, Henry Winkler and Sarah Burns. D’Arcy Carden and Michael Irby also return as recurring.
