Some disappointing news today for fans of the new ‘Saved By The Bell’ series as Peacock has now cancelled the reboot after two seasons.

The new ‘Saved by the Bell’ series served as a new chapter and partial continuation of the original series following a new generation of Bayside students including the children of some legacy characters. The majority of the original show’s key cast made appearances throughout while Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley both reprise their roles as series regulars.

The new series debuted on Peacock in November of 2020 to reportedly promising numbers and was then renewed for a second season which debuted in November 2021. It now looks like we won’t be returning to Bayside for the new gang’s senior year.

The cancellation was first reported by Deadline and also notes that to the cast were likely notified yesterday that the series wouldn’t be returning for a third season.
