legends of tomorrow cancelledSome more bad news today for fans of the DC TV Universe on The CW (aka the ‘Arrowverse’) as The CW has now additionally cancelled ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ after seven seasons.

Confirmation on the cancellation of ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow‘ follows today’s announcement that ‘Batwoman’ has been cancelled.

‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ ran for seven seasons on the CW and concluded its seventh season on March 2, 2022 which will also serve as the series finale. Unfortunately, the last season ended on a cliffhanger, but as the series is part of a bigger universe of shows maybe fans will get closure down the road in one way or another.

The cancellation of ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ was revealed by co-showrunner Keto Shimizu who posted on Twitter: “Well, folks. It’s been an incredible run. However, the CW has let us know that there will be no season 8 of #LegendsOfTomorrow. We are heartbroken, but also immensely grateful for the amazing work our cast, crew, and writers have contributed to the little show that could. Thank you to our fans; your love and passion for our strange band of misfits has made every break, every script, every daily, every cut, and every mix worth all the hard work. We see you, we love you, and you’ll always have a place on the Waverider.” You can also check out the actual tweets embedded below.
