Welcome back to another new edition of our weekly ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list posts where we keep you informed on all of the most popular movies and television shows watched at home each week, compiled and released by the Digital Entertainment Group like always.
This week’s new ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list for March 17, 2022 (compiled of data for the week ended 3.12.22) sees the new ‘Scream’ film get bumped out of the top spot and land in fifth this week while ‘Yellowstone: Season 4’ reclaims first following its Blu-ray and DVD releases. Meanwhile, ‘Sing 2’ continues to hold steady in second, followed by ‘The Matrix Resurrections‘ which hits the chart this week in third, followed by ‘House of Gucci‘ which falls one spot to fourth this week to round out the top five. ‘Yellowstone S4’ Reclaims Top Spot;
New ‘Matrix’ at No. 3
The Matrix Resurrections spins on to the chart at No. 3 this week following its physical disc release. Amid a shuffle at the top, Yellowstone S4 jumped 7 spots to reclaim No. 1, while the series’ other seasons all fell out of the Top 20. Last week’s chart topper, Scream, fell to No. 5 and When Calls the Heart S9 debuted at No. 19.
DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
