Please Note: Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Post. The opinions I share are my own.

Newcomers to ‘Supergirl’ will want to strongly consider starting at the beginning due to the show’s serialized nature and various continuing story elements within. You can find our reviews of the previous season Blu-ray releases below!

[Blu-Ray Review] ‘Supergirl: The Sixth And Final Season’; Now Available On Blu-ray & DVD From DC – Warner Bros 3

The sixth and final season of ‘Supergirl’ is an enjoyable, action-packed and at times quite emotional final run for the DC series that finds Supergirl and her fellow heroes tackling two of their most dangerous foes, with (yep, you guessed it) the fate of the world hanging in the balance once again. Much of the season plays out in the typical style of the show but as it nears the final episodes it soon begins to touch on topics that clearly hint at some conclusion for the story, or at least as much of a conclusion as possible for a series of this sort. All of the expected factors are here including a pair of villains that are more trouble than any we’ve seen prior, as well as some nice closure offered for most of our key characters storylines, not to mention the return of many important characters from prior seasons that make a welcome return for the endgame which is always great to see.

It’s another thoroughly entertaining ride with plenty of touching moments, notable fight sequences and for the most part almost everything you would hope to see in the final season of a beloved series. If you’re a fan of ‘Supergirl’ but haven’t yet had a chance to catch up or finish the series, I would strongly encourage doing so. It may have started out on a somewhat rocky note and took a minute to find itself, but it’s certainly come a long way in its six-season run and proven to be a solid addition to the Arrowverse lineup of shows.

[Blu-Ray Review] ‘Supergirl: The Sixth And Final Season’; Now Available On Blu-ray & DVD From DC – Warner Bros 4

Overall, season six of ‘Supergirl’ delivers another exciting batch of episodes with plenty of action-packed fun and heartfelt moments. It also does a rather satisfying job of serving as a conclusion to the series and provides us with some fitting wrap-ups to character storylines and even numerous cast members from previous seasons returning for the finale. It’s a solid final season that fans of this DC series won’t want to miss out on if they haven’t already had the pleasure. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s 4-disc Blu-ray release of ‘Supergirl: The Sixth and Final Season’ also delivers admirably, serving up all twenty episodes with great high definition video and audio presentations (and spread between four discs allowing a competent bitrate for each), along with a couple of worthwhile extras. If you’re a fan of the show and considering a purchase, the release is definitely recommended.
