Welcome back to another new installment of our weekly ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list posts where we keep you informed on all of the most popular movies and television shows watched at home each week, always compiled and released by the Digital Entertainment Group.
This week’s new ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list for February 17, 2022 (compiled of data for the week ended 2.12.22) once again sees ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife‘ holding steady to the top spot, while Disney’s ‘Encanto’ returns to the list in second. ‘Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City‘ also returns to the list this week in third place, followed by ‘Dune‘ which slips a couple spots to land in fourth. ‘Yellowstone: Season 4’ also drops one spot into fifth to round out the top five. ‘Encanto’ Serenades Top of Chart
Two new titles shook up the Top 5, with Disney’s Encanto and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, which had fallen out of the Top 20, charting at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, following their physical disc release. In the activity, House of Gucci fell to No. 6, but Ghostbusters: Afterlife held on to No. 1. Further down the chart, Kenneth Branagh’s Oscar hopeful Belfast joined at No. 13.
DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
