‘Reacher’ Renewed For Season 2 By Amazon

reacher, season 2Some great news for those who binged season 1 of ‘Reacher’ this weekend on Prime Video as Amazon has already officially renewed the series for season 2.

The renewal for a second season of ‘Reacher’ is definitely a quick one, with Prime Video releasing the debut season in full on Friday and a renewal secured by Monday.

The prompt renewal follows stellar word of mouth and promising reviews for the series which is based on the popular Jack Reacher novels written by Lee Child. According to Deadline, Amazon said that the series impressively ranked among its top-five most watched series ever in the US as well as globally over a 24-hour period.

The series adaptation comes from Nick Santora and season one was based upon the first Reacher novel by Child titled ‘Killing Floor’. Perhaps the most notable element of the new series aside from it going back to book one (the two films starring Tom Cruise were based on the ninth and eighteenth books in the series) is Alan Ritchson portraying our title character this time around who comes much closer to fitting the trademark bulk and size of the hero described in the novels.
