Some great news for fans of the ‘Power Universe’ and of ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ in particular as Starz has now officially renewed the series for a third season.

The renewal for a third season of ‘Power Book II: Ghost‘ comes after the sophomore season debuted on November 21 to even stronger ratings than the debut season for the premium channel.

The renewal for season 3 also comes with word that creator Courtney A. Kemp will step down as showrunner and Brett Mahoney (Empire) will take over as showrunner for the third season.

‘Power Book II: Ghost’ picks up right after the events of the first ‘Power’ series and follows Tariq as he sets out to find his own way in the world while following many of the same paths his father did before him. The series stars Michael Rainey Jr., Shane Johnson, Method Man, Mary J. Blige and many more.
