DEG Watched At Home Top 20 List For 12/02/21: Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Yellowstone: Season 4 1Welcome back to another new entry of our weekly ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list posts, and in this case the second of the week due to last week’s list being pushed to Monday as a result of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

The latest ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list for December 2, 2021 (compiled of data for the week ended 11.27.21) finally sees ‘Yellowstone: Season 4’ knocked out of first and landing in second this week as the Tom Hardy led Sony/Marvel sequel ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ debuts all the way at the top of the list in first. Due to the shift caused by Venom, ‘Free Guy’ also finally slips one more spot into third as The Grinch films swap places from the previous list; the Jim Carrey led ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ moving up into fourth as the animated ‘The Grinch’ film from Illumination takes the other’s spot in fifth to round out the top five. ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’

Slithers Straight To Top

Sci-fi sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage slithered straight to the top of the chart in its digital debut, pushing Yellowstone S4 and Free Guy down one notch each. The rest of the chart started to demonstrate more of a seasonal bent, with two retellings of The Grinch holding strong at Nos. 4 and 5, and Elf climbing seven slots to No. 9. Holiday favorites Home AloneNational Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and Planes, Trains & Automobiles also join the ranking this week.

DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
