Welcome back to another new edition of our weekly ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list posts where we continue to keep you informed on all of the most popular movies and television shows watched at home every week, compiled and released by the Digital Entertainment Group like always.
This week’s new ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list for October 14, 2021 (compiled of data for the week ended 10.09.21) once again finds ‘F9: The Fast Saga‘ holding firmly to the top spot, while ‘Free Guy‘ also holds steady in second. Meanwhile, the reboot ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ joins the list in third, followed by the first ‘Venom‘ film which slips one spot into fourth this week as ‘Escape Room: Tournament of Champions‘ jumps ten spots into fifth to round out the top five. This week’s list also sees some more Halloween themed titles moving up the ranks including ‘Coraline’ and ‘Beetlejuice’. HALLOWEEN TITLES HAUNT
DEG ‘WATCHED AT HOME TOP 20’
With Halloween a little over two weeks away, more holiday titles are haunting this week’s WAH. Beetlejuice and Coraline join the list at spots No. 19 and No. 20, respectively. Hocus Pocus holds at No. 11 while The Addams Family is at No. 12 and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It takes spot No. 13. M. Night Shyamalan’s Old joins the list at No. 6. Spooky sounding Bond film Spectre is at spot No. 16, no doubt thanks to the release of the latest film in the franchise. For the third week in a row, F9: The Fast Saga remains at No. 1 with Free Guy at No. 2
DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
