Welcome back to another new installment of our weekly ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list posts where we make sure to keep you informed on all of the most popular movies and television shows watched at home each week, always compiled and released by the Digital Entertainment Group.
This week’s new ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list for October 7, 2021 (compiled of data for the week ended 10.02.21) finds ‘F9: The Fast Saga‘ holding securely to the top spot for another week, while newcomer to the list ‘Free Guy’ debuts in second. The first ‘Venom‘ film moves up a few spots to take third this week with the sequel doing impressive numbers in theaters, while ‘The Forever Purge‘ jumps into fourth this week from its spot at eighteenth last week and ‘The Boss Baby: Family Business’ drops to fifth this week from second place last time around to round out the top five. CLASSIC HALLOWEEN TITLES RETURN TO
DEG ‘WATCHED AT HOME TOP 20’
Spooky Season has officially begun as several classic Halloween titles return to the WAH list, including fan-favorite Hocus Pocus at spot No. 11. It’s joined by The Addams Family at No. 12, bolstered by the release of its sequel last week, while 2018’s Halloween comes back at spot No. 19. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It continues to haunt the list at spot No. 8 as A Quiet Place Part II drops one spot to No. 10. Ryan Reynolds’ video game comedy Free Guy makes its WAH debut at spot No. 2 after a very successful theatrical run. F9: The Fast Saga remains No. 1 and Venom rounds out the top three.
DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
