Welcome back to another new edition of our weekly ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list posts where we make sure to keep you updated with all of the most popular movies and television shows watched at home every week; always compiled and released by the Digital Entertainment Group.
This week’s new ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list for September 2, 2021 (compiled of data for the week ended 08.28.21) once more sees ‘Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard‘ claiming the top spot, while ‘Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway’ hops up into second this week from its spot in eighth last week. ‘A Quiet Place Part II‘ once again holds steady at third, while ‘The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It‘ joins the list this week at fourth, followed by ‘Wrath of Man‘ which falls a couple spots to fifth this week to round out the top five. The trailer debut for ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ also resulted in the last two Spidey films appearing on the list this week, with ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ in eighteenth and ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ in seventh. SPIDER-MAN TITLES SWINGS ONTO THE
DEG WATCHED AT HOME TOP 20
With the release of the trailer for the latest Spider-Man movie creating a frenzy this week, fans put Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home on this week’s list at spots No. 18 and No. 7 respectively. Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway has climbed to No. 2, hopping into the top five for the first time. It’s joined by horror newcomer The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It at No. 4 following its DVD and BD release on Aug. 24. Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard keeps the No.1 spot and A Quiet Place Part II stays at No. 3.
DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
