Welcome back to another new installment of our weekly ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list posts where we keep you updated on all of the most popular movies and television shows watched at home every week, always compiled and released by the Digital Entertainment Group.
This week’s new ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list for August 5, 2021 (compiled of data for the week ended 07.31.21) sees last week’s first and third place titles swap, with ‘A Quiet Place Part II‘ moving up two spots into first, while last week’s top place title ‘Wrath of Man‘ takes over in third. Meanwhile, ‘Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard’ holds onto second for another week as does ‘Nobody‘ in fourth while ‘Godzilla vs. Kong‘ jumps two spots into fifth to round out the top five. A QUIET PLACE II MOVES UP TO NO. 1 ON
THIS WEEK’S DEG ‘WATCHED AT HOME TOP 20’
| A Quiet Place II moved up two places to take the No. 1 spot on this week’s DEG ‘Watched at Home Top 20” while last week’s topper Wrath of Man dropped to No. 3. The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard and Nobody held on to the No. 2 and 4 slots respectively as Godzilla vs. Kong fought back up the chart to No. 5. Newcomers are a mischievous rabbit, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway entering the list at No. 6 and the comic-book superhero Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two at No. 11. The crime thriller Midnight in the Switchgrass also joined the list at No. 13 following a July 27 physical release. Space Jam fell eight places to No. 19 in an otherwise steady chart.
DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases. |
