Some great news today for fans of the ‘Power’ franchise on Starz as the premium channel has granted an early renewal to ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’, renewing the series for a second season ahead of its series premiere next Sunday.

The ‘Power’ TV franchise continues to prove a solid ratings provider for Starz and this time they won’t be waiting for the new series to premiere before making a renewal decision. The renewal for season 2 of ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ comes nearly a week before the series premiere of the new installment which will focus on the early days of Kanan (played by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson on the original Power series) and show how he came to be the beast he was.

The new series stars Patina Miller, Mekai Curtis and Omar Epps along with more. ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ will debut July 18, 2021 on Starz.
