ABC continues to provide decisions on their current series and they have now officially canceled 4 more shows.

The casualties from ABC in this latest round of news include the cancellation of ‘American Housewife‘ after 5 seasons, ‘black-ish’ spinoff ‘mixed-ish‘ after 2 seasons, as well as drama ‘For Life‘ after 2 seasons and freshman series ‘Rebel‘ which only recently made its debut; all four of which will not be returning next season.

A couple of the cancelled shows are mildly surprising, particularly ‘American Housewife’ which has proved a quite steady ratings provider across multiple days and time-slots over its five season run. Freshman comedy ‘Rebel’ is also somewhat surprisingly as it has only aired a handful of episodes and comes from a strong behind the scenes team and a winning star in Katey Sagal.

These four cancellations follow earlier announcements today from the network which include the renewal of ‘black-ish’ for an eighth and final season, along with renewals for ‘The Goldbergs’, ‘The Conners’, ‘The Rookie’, ‘Home Economics’ and ‘A Million Little Things’, and the cancellation of comedy series ‘Call Your Mother’.

Are you a fan of any or all of these shows and are you disappointed that they won’t be returning for another season on ABC? Be sure to sound off in the comments with your thoughts on the news!
