This week’s ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20 List’ for May 13, 2021 (compiled of data for the week ended 05.08.21) finally sees the long-running first place title ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ fall one spot into second as ‘The Little Things‘ takes the top spot. Meanwhile, ‘Nomadland‘ drops into 4th from its place in second last week as the Liam Neeson led action film ‘The Marksman‘ stays steady in third. ‘The Croods: A New Age’ also holds securely to its place in fifth to round out the top five. The new list also sees the acclaimed film ‘Minari’ debut on the list in fifteenth. Crime thriller The Little Things moves up nine places to take the No. 1 spot on this week’s DEG ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ knocking Wonder Woman 1984 to No. 2. The action of Marksman, the Oscar-winning drama Nomadland, and the computer-animated adventure comedy The Croods: A New Age hold steady to round out the top 5. New this week is Minari, Oscar winner in the Best Supporting Actress category, joining the list at No. 15. Continuing to ride its Oscar accolades, Judas and the Black Messiah moves up four spots to No. 10 and The Vault regains ground moving up to No. 12. Girl in the Basement, a film inspired by real-life events, returns to the chart at No. 17 and the comedy adventures of Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar is back on the list at No. 18.
DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
