stargirl renewedThe CW has officially renewed another two shows for next season today, granting the DC series ‘Stargirl’ an early renewal for season 3 ahead of its sophomore season’s debut this Summer, as well as renewing recently debuted freshman series ‘Kung Fu’ for season 2.

The DC series ‘Stargirl’ initially debuted on both DC Universe and The CW with episodes being aired on each for its first season, but with DCU being revamped the series was granted a season 2 renewal directly from The CW awhile back. The second season is set to debut this August on The CW, although even with the upcoming season months away, The CW has already granted an early season 3 renewal to the show which should thrill fans.

The CW has also granted a season 2 renewal to freshman series ‘Kung Fu’ which debuted in April and has delivered notable numbers for the network in the few episodes aired thus far making the renewal far from surprising.

With both ‘Stargirl’ and ‘Kung Fu’ now renewed, it makes the majority of The CW’s programming already secured for next season following the network’s intital 12 renewals announced in February and the renewal of freshman DC series ‘Superman & Lois’ in March.
