The new ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20 List’ for April 22, 2021 (compiled of data for the week ended 04.17.21) yet again sees ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ holding securely to the top spot, followed once again by ‘News of the World’ in second. Meanwhile, ‘Promising Young Woman’ moved up from its spot at fifth last week into third, while ‘The Croods: A New Age’ and ‘Monster Hunter’ each fell back one spot this week to round out the top five. The Johnny Depp and Forest Whitaker starring ‘City of Lies’ debuted on the list this week at seventh while ‘Game of Thrones’ also returned to the list this week at eighteenth. WONDER WOMAN 1984 AND NEWS OF THE WORLD HOLD THE TOP SPOTS ON DEG’S ‘WATCHED AT HOME TOP 20’

Wonder Woman 1984 and News of the World continue to hold the top spots at No. 1 and 2, respectively, on DEG’s ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ while the crime thriller City of Lies joined the chart at No. 7 following an April 9 digital release. Also new this week is the TV series Queen of the South: S5 as well as adult drama Monday, wrapping up the list at Nos. 19 and 20. Game of Thrones: S1-8 returns at No. 18 and The Vault made a noteworthy jump of five spots to take No. 14.

DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
