Welcome back to another new edition of our weekly ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20 List’ posts where we continue to keep you informed on all of the most popular movies and television shows watched at home each week, compiled and released by the Digital Entertainment Group like always. This week’s ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20 List’ for March 11, 2021 (compiled of data for the week ended 3.06.21) once again sees ‘The Croods: A New Age’ holding onto the top spot, while last week’s third place title ‘Monster Hunter’ shifts up to second as the previous second place title ‘Greenland’ swaps into third. Newcomer to the list ‘Girl in the Basement’ arrives all the way at fourth, while the new ‘Wrong Turn’ film moves up one spot into fifth to round out the top five. GIRL IN THE BASEMENT AND PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN EMERGE ON DEG’S “WATCHED AT HOME TOP 20”
Four new, dark and twisty titles join DEG’s ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ this week, led by Lifetime movie Girl in the Basement at No. 4. The other newcomers are No. 6 marital infidelity thriller Fatale, starring Hilary Swank, which just became available on DVD and Blu-ray; awards contender Promising Young Woman, starring Carey Mulligan as the titular character bent on revenge, at No. 12 in its EST debut; and Silk Road, a crime drama starring Nick Robinson as a drug seller on the dark web, at No. 15. The Croods: A New Age holds the top spot, as Monster Hunter jumps over Greenland for second place.
DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
