Welcome back to the latest installment of our weekly ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20 List’ posts where we continue to keep you updated on all of the most popular movies and television shows watched at home every week, compiled and released by the Digital Entertainment Group. This week’s new ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20 List’ for February 18, 2021 (compiled of data for the week ended 2.13.21) sees ‘The Croods: A New Age’ debut on the list in first place as the previous multi-week top spot holder ‘American Skin’ is bumped down to fourth. Meanwhile ‘Greenland’ and ‘Let Him Go’ switch spots this week, with ‘Greenland’ moving up to second and ‘Let Him Go’ falling into third. The horror/comedy ‘Freaky’ also shows up in fifth this week to round out the top five. THE CROODS: A NEW AGE DEBUTS AT NO. 1 ON DEG’S “WATCHED AT HOME TOP 20”
The Croods: A New Age burst on to DEG’s “Watched at Home Top 20” at No. 1 as the only new title on the chart this week, pushing three-week chart-topper American Skin to No. 4. In other notable shifts, body swap dark comedy Freaky returned to the chart at No. 5, after last appearing two weeks ago at No. 18. Family comedy The War With Grandpa fell to No. 12 after weeks in the top 5, and popular fantasy franchises Harry Potter: Complete 8-Film Collection and The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy keep a firm presence on the chart, holding the No. 11 and No. 17 spots, respectively.
DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
