It looks like the long running NBC comedy series ‘Superstore’ is coming to an end. NBC officially announced today that the series will end its run with the currently airing sixth season.
The announcement comes just after the series aired its last new episode of the fall. It’s set to return on January 14, 2021 with the first of its eleven remaining episodes, and it’s now official that the 15-episode sixth season will indeed be the show’s last.
The news also comes shortly after lead America Ferrera departed (her character’s departure occurred in the second episode of season six).
Are you a fan of ‘Superstore’ and how do you feel about the series ending with the sixth season? Be sure to sound off in the comments with your thoughts on the news!
The show is so amazing and loved it. My daughter and I enjoyed watching it and laughing and spending time together while we watch it. It’s going to be sad not seeing all the characters.
This is one of the few shows that DOES NOT need their lead character(s) to keep it viable. I actually found the Amy and Noah relationship/characters the least interesting ones on the show. The supporting cast is by far what kept this sitcom entertaining for myself and my family. I will be sad that NBC could not see past who was leaving and see what they really had, a group of very talented actors, that don’t need their lead!!!
