Paramount Sets New Release Dates For ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, ‘A Quiet Place Part 2’ & ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge On The Run’

Paramount Sets New Release Dates Featured image Top Gun Maverick With the coronavirus outbreak still building and theater shutdowns still ongoing with no set plans to reopen currently, Paramount Pictures has now joined so many others in setting new release dates for some of their bigger upcoming films, pushing back ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ to Christmas while also announcing new dates for ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ and ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge On The Run’.

Top Gun: Maverick‘, the long-awaited and highly anticipated follow-up to ‘Top Gun’ starring Tom Cruise which was previously set to arrive in theaters on June 24 has now been slated for a Christmas slot to debut on December 23.

Paramount has also set a new release date for the acclaimed sequel ‘A Quiet Place: Part II‘ which was previously pulled from its planned March 20 release date, now setting the film’s release for a Labor Day weekend opening on September 4.

Lastly, the studio has also shifted release plans for the family film ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge On The Run‘ which was slated for a Memorial Day opening on May 22 and has now been moved to a new release date of July 31.
