Son Pushes Back 'Ghostbusters Afterlife' & 'Morbius' To 2021 featured imageWith theaters still shut down across the country and no knowledge of when things may return to some semblance of normalcy, Sony Pictures has now pushed back the releases of ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ and ‘Morbius’ from this Summer to March 2021, in addition to delaying a couple others without dates and moving up the comedy ‘Fatherhood’.

While ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife‘ was originally set to debut July 10 of this year, Sony has now pushed its release date back approximately seven months, setting March 5, 2021 as the new release date.

The studio has additionally delayed the Jared Leto starring Marvel vampire flick ‘Morbius‘ (again by approximately seven months), shifting it from its previous release date of July 30, 2020 to March 19, 2021.

Along with the new dates for ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ and ‘Morbius’, Sony Pictures has also temporarily removed the Tom Hanks starring WWII thriller ‘Greyhound‘ which was set for a June 12, 2020 release and a still untitled Marvel/Sony film previously set for an October 8, 2021 release from the release schedule, leaving both films undated for now.

Lastly, they seem to have moved up the Kevin Hart comedy ‘Fatherhood‘ from its planned January 15, 2021 release to a new release date of October 23.
