‘Hawaii Five-0’ To End Its Run After 10 Seasons On CBS With 2-Hour Series Finale In April

Hawaii Five-0 2011 imageIt looks like CBS’ long-running police procedural and steady Friday ratings performer ‘Hawaii Five-0’ will be ending its run after ten seasons. The series will conclude with a 2-hour series finale event set to air in April.

The news on the end of ‘Hawaii Five-0‘ was first reported by Deadline who also revealed that the series will conclude with a special 2-hour series finale that will air on CBS Friday, April 3.

The decision to end the series comes with season ten marking the end of the current contracts for series stars Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan who have been on the series since day one. With continued issues after a previous injury, it’s reported that O’Loughlin has been struggling to maintain the duties necessary for the role and as opposed to trying to continue the series by finding a new partner for Caan to team up with, it was reportedly decided that they eventually felt that the best move was to wrap the series after ten seasons.
