Some great (and perhaps also bittersweet) news for fans of the long-running series ‘Shameless’ as Showtime has officially renewed the show for an eleventh and final season.

The renewal for an eleventh and final season of Shameless was announced via the Winter TCA press tour today. Deadline also reports that the final season which will again consist of 12 episodes is expected to air this Summer on the premium-channel.
